I was born and raised in New York City. I spent my youth in the Bronx and have since settled in the great borough of Brooklyn, where I live with my wife and son who are incidentally two of my favorite subjects. I am a firm believer in the power of photography. This unique medium captures our lives and stories as none other. It is the perfect ‘side dish’ to the main course of perception and serves as our surrogate memory. Photography reminds us of our life history and depth of experience.
After I capture every image, I edit only what is necessary in order to preserve the original image and its story, it is that process that makes that image unique while speaking to us universally. This is expecially true with portrait photography where I get to connect to my subject and capture that raw emotion, freezing it - doing what I like to describe as making life stand still.
I give myself to the captured moment whenever I shoot. Transcending stylistic boundaries while aiming for an accurate portrayal of my subject. I also hold a degree in Computer Operations, which allows me to mesh my creative talent and innovation with my logistical and technical background and experience.
I believe that through pictures we can see the world better; and when you look at my photos, I not only want you to see my work, I want you to experience the emotions and sentiment within.
